My Interview with Lori LaBey on Alzheimer’s Speaks Radio

This week I was honored to be asked by Lori La Bey to be interviewed for her Alzheimer’s Speaks Radio broadcast. Lori has been recognized as the #1 online influencer regarding Alzheimer’s by Sharecare and Dr. Oz. Oprah Winfrey recognized her as a “health hero” and Maria Shriver recognized her as an “architect of change” for humanity. In 2018, she was recognized by AARP MN as as “Disrupter and Inspiring and Accomplished Leader.

During my interview we discussed my Alzheimers diagnosis, my family history with the disease, my experience as a caregiver, how my family is handling the diagnosis, steps I am taking to eliminate my toxic brain, and how I am living like I am dying. We also discussed a topic near and dear to my heart…..my desire to have a choice in how I die and the possibility of assisted suicide. That is not an easy subject to contemplate at any age, and it is very controversial but the dialogue needs to continue regarding this important topic.

Please watch my interview or listen to the radio podcast and learn more about me and how I am coping with this disease and what I am doing to make the best of the time I have left. It is also located on the Alzheimer’s Speaks blog. Share this with anyone you know dealing with cognitive issues……it may help them. Not today, Alzheimer’s, not today!

    1. Thank you Carol. I know when my Mom was in the nursing home with this disease, the family members suffered just as much as the patient. I hope I am encouraging people with a terminal illness to keep fighting and enjoy EVERY minute we have been given!

Kelly, I think I know how hard this diagnosis is for you and what it means for your life. But you are such an example of how God is able to use even the worse situations for good. 4. Hi there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing many months of hard work due to no data backup. Do you have any solutions to stop hackers?
